The Wedding

Liz and June didn't let us down. I wish I had a picture...

JUNE - Black outfit with black mary janes. All ok? Well, the faux fur coat kinda killed any sense of style

LIZ - hyper pink dress two sizes to small, bulging out of it. Straps kept falling down. Bright pink shoes with the fat from her shins falling over the top of them. And curled hair.

LOL....

I love my new family - you never now how low their fashion sense is going to fall

Woolshed

Last weekend me and ben went to the woolshed to feed the kangaroos and see the sheepies and koalas and such like.

If you would like a gmail account, 1gig searchable email storage then just let me know or you could ask Chontie, Jerry or Katty who I think also have invitations left.

My 22nd :)

Saturday, Chantal and I drove to Sizzler at Brookside to find some friends waiting there for us and a meal. We all went in and saw an old friend Lisa from who went to Everton Park High behind the counter that we hadn't seen for ages. I ordered the Barramundi and Chantal got the fisherman's platter and everyone else got their respective dishes. After the meal we all came back to our place and the festivities lasted well into the night.

Thankyou to everyone for coming. I hope you all had a terrific time!

Here are a few photos from the night. I'll be putting some more up at http://birtjos.beigetower.org/ when I get around to it.

Our Trip to the Creek

Today was a public holiday. After picking up some great bargains at the Lifeline Bookfest this morning, Chantal and I headed down to Kedron Brook to feed the ducks and have some time away from the house. Chantal prepared a bit for her interview tomorrow and also helped me write a little more of my play.

At the beginning there were only a few ducks, but we fed them anyway. Later a couple more came along, a few ibis's and some waterfowl.

A friendly ibis from Kedron Brook.

ESKIMO JOE

friday night was soooooo much fun. Meg and i got there a little early and there was this one guy who was waiting for about 2hrs before hand.. why i dont know cause we were 2nd in line then anyways, but yeah...

anyways so we went straight to the front of the mosh pit so we were right in front of where joel played. anyways the avenues were first and they were really really cool i liked them... anyways next was betchadupa and jerry called me up in the middle of the set and somehow i felt my phone ring at my feet, but they were good too, i only recognised one of their songs though but i liked them too. anyways next was eskimo joe, and they were sooooooo gooood! i could see joels set list so i knew what they were playing, and in one of their songs all the other guys from the other bands came out to sing too. there was a really happy friendly vibe there... also kav started singing end of fashion - rough diamonds before car crash, but i dont think many people knew what he was singing. there were also the annoying people screaming sweater all through im so tired... idiots.

anyways the guy who was waiting in front of the line told joel that he loved him in the middle of a song, it was funny cause joel just winked at him and said he loved him back but his he faceial expression was saying "yeah right"... i know this because i saw joel winking and looking at someone saying that he loved them, and then that guy wrote in the forum that joel said he loved him.... (to jerry: he was bosie..)

anyways afterwards we just hung around a bit and met i met kav and spoke to him for a bit, he was really nice and friendly.

overall a great and fun night, which you all missed out on!!!

love katty

The Adventures of Gooey Blog - Chapter I

Off the Wall

Despite what you might think, it is not at all exciting being a blog of gooey stuff on the wall. The wall I called home and had been there for a little while just watching and listening - I had quite good hearing - to the things going on around me. How I got there, on that particular wall was quite a mystery to me as I could gather no recollection of climbing up the wall myself, although I must admit my memory is not that great. One time, a long long time ago it seems, I remember once finding myself up on the ceiling looking down on everything; it all looked so small. I didn't stay there too long though, but I still don't know how I got up there.

Anyway, so the wall was my home then; it was quite nice and I liked it a lot, but I wanted to leave. It's not that it was so bad, but sometimes I like to just do things for a change, for no reason, but to change. Also it gets quite boring where I was sometimes. I can handle quite a bit of boredom without usually getting that bored, but that day I was just feeling much too much like having some kind of adventure, rather than just sitting on the wall looking around and listening. I have quite good hearing did you know? I like to go on little adventures every so often, for no reason though, just for the hell of it.

It isn't too for down to the ground from where I was, only a couple of hundred centimeters, so I unstuck myself from the wall. This can be quite hard to do at times because I am quite sticky, I really am. Anyway, after a while I got unstuck from the wall and was on my way down. I like the feeling of falling, the air rushing past me really fast. Once I had like a really vivid dream that I was falling from a great height. It was a good dream; I liked it, but then I woke up and was still on the wall. After about a second or so I went splat on the floor. It didn't hurt; some people think it hurts when I go splat on something hard, but it doesn't. I don't know why, but it doesn't at all. I guess its a good thing really.

It was the middle of the day and no one was around. The only ones that were around were the fish in the other room. I hear them all the time and have had the occasional conversation with them from time to time. I don't really much like talking to them though, but I thought I'd better at least say goodbye before I left. They're the only ones that might even notice I'm gone. Sometimes they get bored with swimming around I suppose, so they try to strike up a conversation with me every so often, but they usually don't have very much to talk about. I picked myself up from the floor; it was hard though because I was all flat out on the ground and I'm quite sticky as you know. After that I started running over to the fishtank, which was in the other room. I don't know why I was running, I just felt like running I guess. I was all wound up and everything.

I was all out of breath when I got to where the fishtank was. I can get quite out of breath very easily, especially when I run; I'm in terrible shape. I looked up and called out to the fish. They were on this chest of drawers type thing, it was really high, about a million centimeters and all. I didn't know if they could hear me so I called again, this time louder. I can't really call that loud though, especially when I'm out of breath. I didn't see the fish come out and I suddenly started to feel like not saying goodbye to them anyway, so I started for the back door.

I didn't run this time, but just strolled over real casual like. I imagined I was in one of those cartoons where the main character is always about to embark on a great adventure and getting himself all geared up for it. I hate cartoons, I really do, but I imagined I was in one just for fun. It was sort of really fun too. I imagined all the things I would do on my adventure, all the people I would meet and the different things I would get up to. I started to really get into it and all. But by the time I got to the door, I was kind of getting over it. I'm always getting over things before I've even done them, so I sat up against the door and looked around for a bit.

From where I was, I could see my old place on the wall, way off in the distance. I wasn't sure how long I'd spent sitting up against the door, but suddenly I thought of just scrapping the whole idea of going on an adventure and go back up onto the wall. There was quite a big gap underneath the door. I looked out under the door, boy it was big. It was about the biggest place I have ever seen out there. There were no walls anywhere, just a whole lot of blue and green and lots of things moving and swaying. I started getting quite nervous and all - I can get very nervous at times. I decided just to put a little part of me under the door just to see what it was like. I squashed out a small part of me - I guess you could call it my foot - and slowly pushed it under the door. I felt like a really cold breeze, which kind of reminded me of falling. I kept my foot out there for a little while. I kind of liked it and wasn't feeling half as nervous as I was before, but I was still thinking of scrapping the whole idea of going on a big adventure and just wanted to go back to my wall.

Just then I felt something latch onto me from the other side of the door. Before I knew it, I was being pulled through the gap under the door. Boy was I scared.

Got Him

Matt was caught yesterday. he was at mums n there was a knock at the door and my lil sis answered and saw 2 military cops n 2 civillian cops n started crying n matt heard her crying and went out and surrended. he was in a holding cell last nite after all these medicals and was flown back at 9am. he'll be in army jail for awhile. 1 week of army jail is the equivalent to 1 yr in regular jail or summin n he'll be there for at least a month apparently. dunno how he's gonna cope.

weird

i woke up at 6.30 on sunday morning when id only gone to bed at 5 to my bro standing over my bed trying to wake me up. i assumed it was a weird dream, rolled over tried going back to sleep n i hear "wake up u lazy shit" so i sat up and he was sitting there looking at me weird n i asked what the hell he was doin in bris n he goes "I got 4 letters for u" n after thinking for a bit (just remember i was still 1/2 asleep) i said i had nothin n he goes "A..." n i told him he was a fucking idiot. but yeh he left n he's got all his mates lying for him n he's hiding out here for awhile. if the army cant find him within a month they send discharge papers to the next of kin (mums house) but they dont know where me n dad live so he's gonna stay there n it has a security gate so they cant get in. but they'll be coming to mums sometime today. i hope it works n he doesnt get court marshalled. he's got sum serious mental probs atm. the army fucked his head and the car crash apparently gave him sum clarity n he couldnt take it. but he's so jittery n jumps at pretty much anything. but mum refuses to lie for him n will say where he is when they ask. so she just wants to fuck her sons life up. but anyhoe.... im tired. i drove lots yesterday. worked till 2. went to mums, left bout 2.30 got home about 3.45 then matt rang about 5 and asked me to pick him up, left home 5.30 got there 6.30 left pretty much str8 after, got home with matt n lauren bout 7.30 after not doing the speed limit a majority of the way then dropped lauren back home, left home bout 9 got there 10 got home bout 11 then talked to AJ till 1 ish. so me is tired. n then i woke up at 8.30 when i was sposed to be in class at 8. left home 8.50 got here 9.30 going 170km/hr along the m1 twas fun. went past a copper going the other way at 160 n that scared me. gotta love my car tho. 170 and it was at 3000 rpm. and that makes ppl like me want to see how much faster it can go. hehehe. been 190. AJs car goes 220 easy. thats fun. dads new motorbike so far can go 340. but the most ive gone on the kawaka is 302. but thats still fun. im getting a motorbike soon, just a dirt bike for awhile. prolly a yamaha 250 then after im on my bike opens (1 yr probation licence) i might take dads 900. that goes 330 top.
my back is all bruised. cuz im a clutz n our staircase curves around n i was on the phone half asleep walking down in the dark n stacked it cuz the carpet is kinda slippery n i was wearing socks. well i had to go to the chiropractor anyway so i was just helping it along.. im so fookin bored. conference and events sucks monkey balls. anyhoe soiya

Fixing Chontie's Seatbelt Warning Light

I had my alarm set this morning for 6:30am because I was supposed to take Chantal's car to Mt Gravatt to get the seatbelt warning light fixed. It had to be there at about 8am. I didn't wake up however until 7:15am when Chantal came out of the shower to find me still asleep. I explained to her that I thought it was her alarm going off (as is usually the case in the morning at about 6:30. So - in my half-asleep dazed state - I just turned it off and went back to sleep even though Chontie had placed the phone in my hand, so I would wake up.

I got there eventually anyway to drop the car off. I must have been still half asleep or at least one third asleep, because I thought the guy said it would be ready at four to be picked up. It didn't click until I was walking out of the place that was eight hours just to change over a belt clip. I presumed he must have meant 12 and went to the Mt Gravatt library. It was closed so I took a few pictures - there wasn't much scenery - and read some of my book, but it was really cold so I went to the Coffee Club that was up the street. Incidentally, it was the place that Chantal and I went to, the first time I stayed at her place if I remember correctly.

Anyway, it was soon 9 o'clock and the library was open. I skimmed through a few books and magazines. There was a person there who was in one of those motorized scooter things and every time he reversed, there was this loud beep beep beep, it was really annoying. I went to the Mt Gravatt shopping centre to get something to eat and go to the bathroom, then back to the library. At 12 I went to check if the car was finished (I really hoped it was). It was a different guy at the counter, but I just said I was here to pick up a car for "Petit" and he just got me to sign and gave me the keys. Quite relaxed security I thought.

Mt Gravatt at 8:15am. Taken from the Mt Gravatt library.

Matt crashed his car

my bro Matt crashed his car the nite b4 last. he was a bit drunk n it was raining and he somehow got the car in the ditch. n he got out n got bitten by tons of mossies so got back in his car n fell asleep then called the cops a few hrs later after he woke up n the fireys cut him out even tho he'd already managed to climb out. he's been having all these cat scans to see if his eye socket is broken and his nose. n he got a chemical burn from the airbag. he was in the hospital till last nite n he was talking all old man like cuz he was still in shock, not sure when the blood test results come back to see if he was over the limit. but if he was he gets in a heap of trouble from the army as well and he most probably wont be allowed to go to Brunei anymore he was sposed to go in a couple of weeks. but the army was intending on making him go back to work today, as if u would!!! apparently his eye n nose is full swollen n looks like he's been in a really bad fight and the other person won easily. Im sure he's most worried that he wont be able to pick up girls for awhile. i asked him n he had some weird reply but im sure it was a "yeh" in a weird sorta way. that seems to be his life goal anyways...all the soldiers go to the pub purely to get wasted and pick up. how sad :P
