25th Birthday/Winter Solstice Celebrations

On the 21st of June, next month,
Twenty-five times midwinter will have come,
And twenty-five times around the sun
Will I have traveled, only to find
A celebration to share with everyone.

Ok, I can't continue to talk like that, but anyway, you're all invited to my big two five on Thursday the 21st of June, which is incidentally the shortest day in the year in the southern hemisphere. It will be at Rics Bar in Brunswick Street, The Valley from around 7.

The band, Hot Liquid Sex will be playing there along with the Sydney band Tokenview.

Ever wanted to write a screenplay?

Ever wanted to be someone else write a screenplay? Well Script Frenzy is here and now is as good a time as "I'll do it one day".

Basically it's just like NaNoWriMo, but with plays or screenplays. I'm going to give it a shot and anyone else who wants to have a go, just sign up and add me to your friends (somehow).

I know it's a couple of weeks away, and I apologise for those of you who have birthdays before this, but I am swamped under with prac and wanted to get this out there before I forget.

I am 25 this year and I believe that that is a significant one. And also, I enjoy birthdays.

7:30pm
probably the indian restaurant at Enoggera.

I need to know numbers so that I can book and make sure we can all fit there.

State Of Origin Game 1 - Wednesday 23rd May

It's State of Origin time again and Lyn and I will be having another mass viewing at our place on Wednesday the 23rd May. The game itself starts at about 7:30 but you can show up anytime after 5:00 for pool, poker or some x-box rugby league to warm up before the real thing. Some basic munchies will be available and we'll more than likely all end up ordering pizza so all you need to bring is booze. Anyone is welcome (as long as they support the maroons, otherwise they can sit out in the back yard and get attacked by canetoads). If you don't have our new address at Lutwyche just ask us or someone else who knows it.
