Ok, so you may have noticed something a little different about the blog today. The other template was having some issues with a few certain sidebar styles for some reason and I figured it was probably due for a change in the new year anyway.
Hope ya like it. I'm thinking of making a kind of collage type thing as a watermark for under the title or something.
I've also put on a page counter (right down the bottom), so we can see how many friends we have coming to the site.

Sooooo
Hi
As you all know Trav and I are going to be in town this weekend From Friday night till Sunday for our mums B'days lol. This leaves free for us both Friday and Saturday nights soooooooooooo whats everyone up to?? Come on guys its one of the last weekends before most of us start studying etc so lets make the most of it!!!
Trav and I went to Noosa River yesterday with some floatie thingies and had a blast, for lunch we went to Hastings Street and got pretty drunk so had to stick around at the river for the rest of the day lol it was awesome!!
Aaaanyway let us know whats happening this weekend we REALLY want to do something.

We went to Jerry's last night.

Google Video & Curb Season 2
Hi All,
Just got home from buying Curb Your Enthusiasm season 2, the last one left at Big W. I had no idea it was even out yet.
Also I noticed in Google Labs that they've released a new search call Google Video which lets you search through the transcripts of tv shows and it displays screenshots alongside. I don't know if it would be that useful, but it's still interesting.

Well we went to the Slipknot gig last night. it was fun.

Hyperbowling (That One Pin)
We met up with Shantell, Marcus and Meg at Chermside, played a few arcade games first - Marcus looked very funny playing the one where you have to actually move around to dodge the bullets - then finally we were dragged away from the video games by the girls, over to the bowling lanes.
Our two games were a lot of fun, even though the machine kept screwing up and that one pin right at the back was determined not to fall down for anyone most of the time. We think it may have had double-sided sticky tape on its base or something :)

Screensaver
I got home tonight and walked past our new computer. It is black and snazzy looking. What caught my eye however was the screensaver.
I had to look twice as I wasn't sure what I had seen first.

My first thought was... huh? I have a photo on the computer we bought less than a fortnight ago.
The second one was... Why is it the screensaver?
And the last one was, hang on, what was the photo.
It took me all of a second to get all that out, and then almost a full second to realise it had to be Joshua.
Scary at 1:30 in the morning.

Hello There
Hello, this place keeps getting really quiet. WAKE UP PEOPLES!!!!! So is anything interesting happening in Australia other than people getting into uni, or is that it??? And will anyone respond??? hmm does anyone even exist or is everyone like marcus, just a figment of everyones imagination.
We've all gotta do more interesting stuff like actually go on that camping trip we were planning. Its soo easy to get caught up in a boring routine and end up in a rut otherwise.
Anyways Im excited about o-week, Eskimo Joe are playing at QUT yay, so all those new qut'ers must come :)
Uni should be good this year, im probably gonna move out this year after I get a job cause strange as it may sound but i cant afford to live at home and ill have more money if i lived away from home... also hopefully i should have a car this year too, but that all depends on my funds of course :/

Crafty McCraft Craft
i posted this as a comment to the original crafty day post but realised that people may not read it. so here it is..
i have to change the date for the crafty thing. My brother and family are leaving back home on the sunday and i want to see them and stuff. SO, how is everyone for: shopping thursday night (10th)(late night shopping) then crafting on the saturday and sunday. or a couple of you could even come over friday night and start (we'd have to be pretty quiet though)

Hair Cut
i got a haircut today... kinda not what i asked for but still cool
i asked for shoulder length long hair so i can grow it... i dont think the hairdresser listened
its really short like a pixie but its cute i like it, not really what i expected but anyways good for summer
and i will be staying in nz for a few more weeks too, so youll all have to wait a while for photos and the like.
oh oh and today we went to first scene a costume hire shop and dressed up as bunnies, elvis, xena, cleopatra, 60s and a jester.. it was very funny

Updates from New Zealand
Hey all, just came back from a trip around the north island of new zealand. We went to Rotorua which is a town with a very small crust over volcanos so there were geisers and steam everywhere and it smellt like rotten eggs, but pretty. We went to the geiser area and watched some maori traditional dances and leart about the maoris and then we went to the geiser & bubbling mud pits. also saw sponge bob went for a bath in the thermal pools in the area, and went to a musuem in the old baths which are now no longer functional. We then went to lake taho which is this humongous huge lake in a volcanic crator & the volcano is still active too, and we went on a sailing boat which was once owned by Errol Flynn who was an actor in the 1930s to see some maori rock carvings.
We then went to Wellington and on the way stopped over at Mt. Rapehu (sp?) which all of you would know as Mt. Doom from Lord of The Rings and the area surrounding it is Mordor.. and it looks very much like in the film. The next day we drove around and I noticed that The Frighteners was filmed in Wellington too & we drove around some streets which were in the film.. Wellington is very beautiful all the houses are on hills... The Frighteners shows the city quite well. Then we went for a long walk to see some seals and ended up walking for 2 hrs and only seeing one, which was lucky since it wasnt the season for seals in the end. Then we went to The Chocolate Fish cafe where the crew from lord of the rings reguraly dined at. The cafe has a road between the seating areas so the waiters have to cross the road and wear and there are waters crossing signs on the street.
Tomorrow we are going to a costume shop which lends out original costumes from films & tv series.
We also tried finding the King Kong (Peter Jacksons next film) set in Wellington, except it was already knocked down and the sets were being used for storage.. except we did see some destroyed giant fake trees though. possibly from the film.
well im gonna go to sleep though, just got home from a 10hr drive back to auckland from wellington which i drove half of. i also ended up driving through wellington inner city on the way there which went suprisingly well seeing that it was a strange city ive never been to before with heaps of one way streets.
Anyways im gonna stay here for another month longer so ill be back about a week before o-week (21st feb)

well, my neice has named it Polly. (she's like 2 and a half for those who cant remember) and she said "Polly polly has a nose, eyes and eyebrows"
so yeah.

Gathering in Coolum
Hi everyone
I know its short notice but trab and i are planning a brissy gathering at our house this Friday night till Sat arvo or maybe even Sunday it's up to you :o) it will be the same as last time however we do have one more bed then last time, so byo drinks, food, sleeping gear, swimming gear etc lol Turn up anytime in the arvo as we are currently on holidays wahooo however we do go back to work on the Monday gggrrr I have to work on my b'day lol.
So yeah please let me know if you are interested/coming via sms as I don't have email at home so have to pay to use it.

Greetings from New Zealand
hey all
im in new zealand and it is coooooold!!!! (unless the sun is out which is really rare) its really pretty here, will post photos eventually. Went to mt eden and froze, and then went to Auckland and wandered around. Also Saw the incredibles today! and absolutely loved it. there is water absolutely everywhere too.
anyways ill write more laters when ive done more its 9:00pm and the sun is just setting
